2009年对于张靓颖来说绝对是不平凡的一年，在这一年里，她经历了曾经迷雾重重的事件，事业上自组少城时代，在音乐部分上又高调签约了国际唱片公司环球，并在2月推出了加盟环球之后的首张专辑《我相信》。

距离上一张《张靓颖@音乐》快一年时间，但在这一整年里人们依然在不断听到张靓颖的新歌，如青岛国际海洋节主题曲《漂流瓶》，中国网球公开赛赛事主题曲《骄傲飞翔》、还有《木兰星》、《朝思暮想》这些出自热门电影《花木兰》、《熊猫大侠》的主题曲，也都交由张靓颖来演唱。大手笔、大动作的打造继续巩固着张靓颖“大片主题歌专业户”的地位，但即便如此，选在跨年档期推出的《我相信》，对于张靓颖乃至整个华语乐坛来说，仍是具备了特殊意义的一首作品。

新专辑《我相信》邀请到了华语歌坛“天后专属制作人”阿弟仔及其团队全盘打造，将以“百变DIVA”为主题，传递出自信与突破兼具的全新张靓颖形象。新专辑收录十首歌曲，筹备费时长达半年。

《我相信》是一首很纯粹的歌曲，张靓颖亲手创作的歌词代表着她在音乐上表现出了越来越强烈的自主权。一直以来张靓颖都坚持“歌为心声”。无论曲风如何变化，真实表达自我想法与成长轨迹的歌曲绝对是她每张唱片必不可少的内容。从第一张EP中“我宁愿唱歌或是保持沉默”的《光芒》，再到“我喜欢简单选择，我只对我爱的人和事执著”的《木脑壳》，“可是只要给你个麦克风，我相信你迟早能把世界撼动”的《Dear Jane》，“我追求最简单的快乐，偶尔也会不懂得取舍，可是那又如何”的《是我》，或者“你会看见一直在努力往前的我，just go my way”的《我的路》。这些作品代表了张靓颖对于自己音乐理想的坚持与不妥协，而《我相信》中的张靓颖似乎愈发的底气十足。
